The disc filter consists of a group of discs which are equipped with groove on the both sides. It was the point of crossing of groove that intercept solid content in water. The filtration performance has been greatly improved after taking possession of the interception and coacervation function.
However, it depend on the initial water quality, the hoped-for water quality and the water output per hour to make decision of the precision of the discs. Different levels of water quality have a major influence on the operation cycle of water filtration system.
There are several types of initial water:
A. The well water drawn from steady aquifer, whose quality is regarded as GOOD.
B. The Circulating cooling water; the surface water after sedimentation process; the sewage after sedimentation and totally biological treatment; whose quality are called COMMON.
C. The well water drawn from a dirty well or a well rich in Fe - Mn; the sewage after sedimentation lacking biological treatment; the surface water in which micro-organisms multiply fast; which are regarded as SUB-STANDARD level of water quality.
D. The surface water polluted by the flood which lack of any sedimentation processes; the sewage without sedimentation or biological treatment; which are called the WORST level of water quality.
Because of the advantages possessed by the disc filter, such as anti-washing function, fully automatic and continuous operation, low self-consumption, small footprint, steady operation and so on, the automatic switching between working and anti-washing could be achieved. As a result, a constant output could be also ensured, with a lower pressure loss.
The disc filter is often used in agricultural irrigation, as an affordable filter machine, which is very popular with the farmers all over the world. The working temperature is under 60 degree centigrade, and the range of pH is 4-13. Before the final decision of filtration system, we should ensure that the interval between working and anti-washing is able to be larger than 1 hour.
And the insulation grade of the disc filter can meet the international standard IP65.
